Program Spotlight – Project Youth OCBF

In 1969, Project Youth Orange County Bar Foundation (PYOCBF) was established as the philanthropic arm of the Orange County Bar Association; in 1981 they became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency. PYOCBF has a long history operating culturally competent programs and has responded to the growing needs of Orange County by offering SA prevention and treatment, juvenile crime diversion, legal education, MH services, educational mentoring, HIV health education and risk reduction services. Their programs are designed to identify the factors that place youth at risk and provide protective services to help them make positive and healthy life choices.
Join us in wishing a huge congratulations to Gigi R. Crowder, Executive Director, Nami Contra Costa, on receiving the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors 44th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award.
Self Care Tip
Say no to others, say yes to self-care

Learning to say no is really hard; many of us feel obligated to say yes when someone asks for our time or energy. Saying yes to loved ones or coworkers can lead to burnout, anxiety, and irritability. It may take a little practice, but once you learn how to politely say no, you’ll start to feel more self-confident, and you’ll have more time for your self-care.
