LEAD’s Virtual Town Hall: Crisis response and police presence

Thursday, January 13 from 2 – 3:30 p.m.

Mark your calendars and join us for a discussion regarding crisis response and police presence. We will have presentations from Assembly Member Rebecca Bauer-Kahan and Gigi Crowder, Executive Director of NAMI Contra Costa regarding AB 988 (Miles Hall Lifeline Act) and ongoing community organizing efforts regarding crisis response. Calling All Peers with Substance Use Experience!

Make Your Voices Heard

Are you a peer who has experienced substance use challenges (of your own or a family member)?

Do you feel represented by the Peer Movement?

Can you envision changes that would help amplify your voice?

CAMHPRO is seeking your voice! We would like to meet with Substance Use Peers from across the State of California to uplift your voices in the Peer Movement. Please join us for an informal meeting on January 20, 2022.

LEAD Listening Sessions Taking Place In First Quarter

Want to advocate for what matters to you?

With our agency partners across the state, the LEAD program will be hosting Listening

Sessions during the first quarter of the year. These sessions are opportunities to provide

community feedback, which will hopefully inform policy change, and raise the peer voice. If you are interested in attending a session in Sacramento, Los Angeles, Mendocino, Riverside or San Francisco counties, please contact us at Natalie.camhpro@gmail.com.

Information about Peer Listserv

There is a new Peer Listserv sponsored by Disability Rights California (DRC). This is an open forum for peers and people with lived experience throughout the state to communicate with other peers via email.

While there are many peer organizations and peer services in different California counties, many of us feel isolated, separated and out of touch with one another. The Peer Listserv is an online gathering place to share ideas, provide support and connect us with resources and referrals to services.

DRC wants to bring us all together by providing an “information highway” and opportunity for all of us to:
